Friction Plate

Friction Plate is a rotating instrument. Through a metal stick, the vibration from the rotating plate travel from one to another. The vibration and sound captured by contact microphone and play back from the transducer attach underneath the plate.
The idea of Friction Plate is using the spinning and vibrating character to generate various sound. The spinning system recalls turntable behaviour. Scratch, hitting or pressure the surface of the plate for composing sound. Friction Plate is open for interpretation. It is an ongoing instrument project.
